Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Cybersecurity Product Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama to develop software for defensive cyber operations and resiliency efforts. The selected candidate will support creation, integration, and customization of a defensive cyber solution. The development will support Dynetics programs and new business areas in the defense, intelligence, commercial, and civil markets.Primary Responsibilities:Creating procedures and techniques for ongoing usage of a cyber operations platform within a customer designated environment.Evaluating, selecting, and integrating of open-source cyber tools to incorporate in a cyber operations platform.Developing new algorithms used in IDS/IPS systems to detect malicious behavior.Developing graphical cyber dashboards and tools to enhance understanding of cyber activities being monitored by a cyber operations platform.Basic Qualifications:A Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field and experience in some of the topics below:The ability to work independently to deliver results in a timely manner.Development languages including C++, C, JavaScript, Python, Bash, HTML, CSSInfrastructure tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, make) used to create commercial software products.Full commercial cyber stack and projects including Suricata, Splunk, and Elastic.Virtualization (e.g. Vagrant, ESXi, VirtualBox, Proxmox or KVM) and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernates.Dissection of network protocols using Wireshark and other related tools.Building web-based applications using the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).Developing applications for LINUX and Windows operating systems.Software/hardware development in a collaborative team environment.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with capturing, analyzing, and understanding networking packets and various common protocols.Experience with Agile software development and DevOps tools.Experience with Cyber Security Concepts.Experience and interest in fundamental networking implementations and concepts, including basic LAN and WAN networking skills. Pay Range:
Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
