About the Role
As a Therapeutic Caseworker at Maple Youth Services, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of vulnerable children and young people. You’ll manage teams, coordinate care, and create tailored strategies that ensure the best outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a team of youth workers in diverse settings, including residential care, mentoring, and contact visits.
- Prepare detailed, high-quality reports for external case managers.
- Ensure quality, child-focused care aligns with agency policies, maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop care plans addressing trauma and other needs.
- Oversee caseloads, shift allocations, and performance monitoring for your team.
- Provide professional guidance and emotional support to your team in high-pressure scenarios.
- Innovate programs and routines that enhance the care experience for clients.
- Participate in paid on-call duties to ensure continuous support.
Requirements:
- A relevant Bachelor's degree or relevant Diploma working towards a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Diploma in Community Services or related Diploma is acceptable, with experience and understanding of trauma-informed practice and Therapeutic Care.
- For Aboriginal staff, a qualification is desirable, but experience and willingness to participate in training is acceptable.
- Working with Children's Check.
- National Criminal Record Check.
- NDIS Working Check.
Schedule:
• Monday to Friday, 9 am–5 pm.
