Liverpool, New South Wales 2170, Australia • Part-timeDescriptionWe are currently seeking Casual / Bi-Lingual Support Care Workers who will support elderly persons under the Commonwealth Home Support Program.This role will be at equivalent SCHADS Home Care, Level 1.1 or 2.1 depending on experience with salary sacrifice options available.The position offers flexible hours per week with travel to clients within Liverpool and Campbelltown surrounding areas.ABOUT USWestern Sydney MRC is a community-based not-for-profit organisation working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities, supporting their aspirations to live, work and participate in local mainstream life. Our office is based in Liverpool and Campbelltown.ABOUT THE ROLESupport Care Worker is responsible for the following:Providing support to elderly persons under the Commonwealth Home Support Program.Assisting with personal care and domestic home assistance/social support/Transport.Identifying and advocating for the needs of clients and the wider CALD community.Contributing to continuous improvement and development of organisational practices and service delivery.Ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to.Ensuring administrative requirements are upheld and met within their work.Supporting teamwork within the Western Sydney MRC.The Support Care worker will demonstrate appropriate ethics, values and behaviours and contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive Western Sydney MRC workplace culture, so that the organisation is able to provide quality services to meet the needs of migrants, refugees and culturally and linguistically diverse groups.ABOUT YOUDemonstrated experience caring for frail and/or elderly personsStrong administrative, organisational and time management skillsDemonstrated interpersonal skills with ability to engage and communicate with people from diverse language, religious, cultural and socio-economic backgroundCompliance Checklist:Current driver’s licence and use of comprehensively insured personal vehicleAbility to work flexible hours within 8am-6pm Monday to FridayHave or able to obtain a current first aid certificateAble to provide a clear Working with Children Check (to be supplied before starting)Current Police Clearance within the last 12 months, or willingness to obtain one immediately (to be supplied before starting)Communication skills in English and any language other than EnglishCert III in Aged Care qualificationsHOW TO APPLYPlease apply by using the "apply now" icon on the top right corner.When lodging your application, make sure you submit the following information:Letter of application addressing the selection criteria, essential and desirable.Resume outlining your qualification and experience that align with the requirements of the roleName, position and phone number of at least 2 professional refereesFor further information about WS MRC, please visit their website. www.wsmrc.org.au.
