Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily Food & Beverage operations, including restaurant, bar, and room service as well as conference and events.
- Lead and motivate the team to deliver outstanding customer service and provide regular feedback, both formal and informal.
- Assist in staff scheduling and ensure appropriate coverage during peak times.
- Ensure the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and food quality are maintained, and Food Control plans are adhered to.
- Assist in training and developing team members on service standards, menu knowledge, drinks knowledge, and customer interaction.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Support the Food & Beverage Manager in inventory management, cost control, and stock ordering.
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor, engaging with guests to ensure their satisfaction and gather feedback.
- Handle cash and payments accurately and complete cash up at the end of the shift.
- Monitor sales and revenue, implementing strategies to increase profitability.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the Food & Beverage industry, minimum 2 years in a Restaurant or Hotel Restaurant environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A passion for delivering exceptional service and guest experiences.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards.
- As the role covers the service and supply of alcohol, we are seeking an individual with a current LCQ and a current Managers licence.
- Barista experience as well as bar and cocktail making experience.
- 5 dining service experience dealing with Al carte service.
- Qualification in a Diploma in Hospitality Management Level 5 or above.
This role is full-time (32 hours) with a rate of pay of $28.18 to $31 depending on experience.
