You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the wellbeing of all staff through developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health and safety programs to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment across all airport operations.Reporting to the Head of Risk, Safety & Compliance, your key responsibilities will include:Ensuring the Work Health and Safety Management System is implemented and maintained to provide the highest level of WHS risk and compliance management across all business functions.Developing and implementing robust WHS policies and procedures.Promoting a culture of safety within the organisation.Providing leadership to a passionate team of Health and Safety representatives, empowering them to successfully perform their role.Providing expert advice to the business for any health and safety matters.Providing training and education to staff on all things WHS.Conducting regular safety audits and inspections.Coordinating and maintaining the service contractor WHS audit program.Investigating workplace incidents and implementing corrective actions.Liaising with external bodies regarding WHS compliance.Supporting the execution of AAL’s broader risk and compliance program.What you will bring:The ideal candidate for the Workplace Health and Safety Manager role at Adelaide Airport will bring a wealth of experience within a similar role.In addition, you will have:Tertiary qualifications in WHS, Lead Auditor, or management system qualifications.Cert IV in Training and Assessment.5 years’ industry-based experience in a WHS, risk and compliance management role.Experience with the development and implementation of: ISO 45001 (Occupational health and safety management systems) and ISO 31000 (Risk Management).A strong understanding of WHS legislation and compliance requirements.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).Ability to develop effective training programs.Strong problem-solving abilities.Commitment to promoting a culture of safety within the workplace.Benefits and culture of the Adelaide Airport:Working for one of South Australia's top organisations comes with numerous benefits designed to support your health, wellbeing, and work-life balance.
