Your Mission
IT Cloud Automation Specialists are professionals who specialize in using infrastructure as code to deploy cloud infrastructure and applications. This role applies to all various cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and VMware.
IT Cloud Automation Specialists leverage their expertise with IAC tools to automate a variety of deployments within organized peer-reviewed pipeline processes. They are also required to support strategic Windows/Linux based applications at the administration level, ensuring that they are optimally configured and maintained.
Your Role & Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the infrastructure team, architecture team, security team, and application team on key automation initiatives.
- Build automation pipelines for a variety of scenarios from simple application servers to complex multi-resource cloud deployments.
- Actively participate in application modernization roadmap and initiatives by building the right infrastructure and supporting application teams in their journey.
- Be comfortable with Azure cloud environments. VMware environments and AWS are good to have.
- Measure and optimize the effectiveness of automation pipelines.
- Build monitoring templates, dashboards, and workbooks using Azure Monitor components.
- Deploy monitoring agents to various destination servers.
- Build automation for the cloud and on-premise (Azure/VMWARE).
- Collaboratively work within a pipeline deployment environment with peer review practices and source-controlled code.
- Leverage Azure DevOps to build automation pipelines and keep track of your work progress.
- Remote work – no onsite requirement.
Your Qualifications
Soft skills
- Excellent English and French written and verbal communication skills.
- Be a continuous learner and a self-starter.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively prioritize work.
- Collaboratively work within a pipeline deployment environment with peer review practices and source-controlled code.
Technical skills
- Technical Degree (BAC/DEC) in a technology discipline and/or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous deployment) pipeline and DevOps practices.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in deploying, patching, managing, monitoring, and maintaining Microsoft/Linux Server environments, both virtual (VMware) and physical.
- Proficiency with Terraform.
- Proficiency in Azure Cloud.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Powershell, bash, and Python.
- Proficiency with Monitoring Tools & Monitoring Templates.
- Controlled Goods and elevated security clearances may be a requirement.
