What makes this a great opportunity?

The Commercial Development Program is an 18-month rotational program that provides an opportunity to learn the spirits industry and build broad commercial acumen. This program is comprised of three role rotations within the Commercial Sales and Marketing organization and designed for early career professionals who are passionate about the spirits industry. Roles are located in major markets across the US - we will be hiring in New York City NY, Chicago IL, and Los Angeles CA, and relocation packages will be included.

Role Responsibilities

Day to Day Activities
• Learn the industry and directly influence Off Premise retailers and On Premise accounts through collaborating with the Suntory Global Spirits team, local distributor team and the community
• Serves as the key sales contact for assigned accounts driving awareness and velocity of brands in designated portfolio
• Learn internal reporting systems. i.e. The Bar, Nielsen, CONNECT, Concur
• Participate in merchandising activities to develop understanding of BSI portfolio and key competitive set; learn the BSI KPIs (key performance indicators) and sales drivers
• Develop skillset and learn best practices of an effective Key Account call through market shadows with the team; provide hands-on support with selling activities
• Support the planning, execution, tracking and evaluation of marketing programing
• Leads the selection, placement, and replenishment of POS for assigned accounts to obtain maximum profitability, market share, and sales depletions

Qualifications

  • Recently obtained, or is in the process of obtaining a bachelor's degree in May 2025 is preferred
  • Someone who's interested in working in Sales or Marketing
  • Must be 21 years old
  • Prior internship or co-op experience in the CPG industry preferred
  • Prior general sales experience preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Willing to relocate to any location/state throughout this program and after the program is completed
  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, stopping and typing using a computer
Compensation and Benefits
  • The compensation for this position is $70,000/year
  • Location confirmed will be considered in setting the actual starting salary
