Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY:
A+E Global Media is seeking a visionary and results-driven Senior Vice President, Content Distribution & Strategy to lead strategic planning and execution for our linear distribution business. This executive will be responsible for driving revenue, expanding viewership, and securing long-term distribution success in a constantly evolving media environment. Reporting directly to the Co-Presidents of Distribution, this leader will oversee all strategic analyses, new business assessments, and value optimization efforts across our distributor portfolio. The role also includes ownership of key MVPD/vMVPD distributor accounts in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the linear portfolio that aligns with corporate objectives and market opportunities.
  • Conduct in-depth quantitative analyses to inform deal structures and revenue optimization.
  • Evaluate risks and opportunities as part of long-range planning for A+E Global Media.
  • Serve as the distribution lead on all financial planning and budgeting in collaboration with Finance.

Business Growth & Innovation

  • Lead high-stakes contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with strategic and financial goals.
  • Cultivate and manage executive-level relationships with key distribution partners.
  • Collaborate with Legal to craft contractual terms that support strategic objectives.
  • Identify and assess new growth opportunities, including content innovation, digital distribution, and emerging platform partnerships.
  • Deliver actionable insights to guide monetization and expansion strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a key liaison between Distribution and internal teams, including Legal and Business Affairs, Finance, Programming, Research, Media Solutions, Marketing and Global Content Sales.
  • Champion coordination of distributor needs across all A+E Global Media business lines.
  • Maintain open communication with executive leadership to evolve strategy as needed.
  • Represent A+E at industry events and serve as a thought leader within the media distribution space.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, including a Senior Analyst.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and strategic excellence.
  • Promote diversity of thought and a collaborative approach across teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years in sales, strategic planning, or business development within the media industry.
  • 10+ years of experience in linear distribution.
  • 5+ years of team leadership experience in a formal capacity.
  • Advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint (or similar tools) proficiency.
  • 5+ years of experience managing key client relationships and contract negotiations.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Compensation

Annual Pay Range: $259,113 - $310,936

Annual Incentive Target: 35.00%

minimum and maximumbasepayrangefor this role.Compensation for the role will

be based ona number of differentfactors such asa candidate's qualifications, skills,
