Tranche 1 includes enhancement works across four sites and corridor wide works.Tranche 2 works will be delivered by John Holland and includes adjustment of track alignments, the provision of new road overbridges and station modifications to enable the safe operation of double-stack freight trains across eight B2A project sites between Wandong and Benalla.Responsibilities of the role include / What you will do;Overall responsibility for the role on this high-profile major project includes:Oversee and manage the structural aspects of the B2A project, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with John Holland's high standards of quality and safety.Supervise and coordinate the activities of subcontractors and staff, providing technical guidance and support as needed.Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and codes of practice related to construction and workplace safety.Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to proactively identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and project alignment.Assist in the development of work plans, schedules, and forecasts, adjusting activities as necessary in response to challenges or changes in scope.Promote and maintain a culture of safety and environmental responsibility through leadership and personal example.Provide mentorship and support to junior staff, fostering a team environment that encourages growth and development.To be successful in this key role, you must have / What we are looking for;Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor, specifically with a focus on structural projects within the construction industry.Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.A commitment to workplace health and safety.Proficient with Microsoft Office and industry-specific software.Current driver's license and the ability to travel to various sites as required.As part of the team, you can help us transform lives.Your success is reflected in ours, so we’re committed to being an employer of choice.
