Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise daily Food & Beverage operations, including restaurant, bar, and room service as well as conference and events.
  2. Lead and motivate the team to deliver outstanding customer service and provide regular feedback, both formal and informal.
  3. Assist in staff scheduling and ensure appropriate coverage during peak times.
  4. Ensure the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and food quality are maintained, and Food Control plans are adhered to.
  5. Assist in training and developing team members on service standards, menu knowledge, drinks knowledge, and customer interaction.
  6. Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues to ensure a positive dining experience.
  7. Support the Food & Beverage Manager in inventory management, cost control, and stock ordering.
  8. Maintain a strong presence on the floor, engaging with guests to ensure their satisfaction and gather feedback.
  9. Handle cash and payments accurately and complete cash up at the end of the shift.
  10. Monitor sales and revenue, implementing strategies to increase profitability.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in a supervisory role within the Food & Beverage industry, minimum 2 years in a Restaurant or Hotel Restaurant environment.
  2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  4. A passion for delivering exceptional service and guest experiences.
  5. Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  6. Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards.
  7. As the role covers the service and supply of alcohol, we are seeking an individual with a current LCQ and a current Managers licence.
  8. Barista experience as well as bar and cocktail making experience.
  9. 5 dining service experience dealing with Al carte service.
  10. Qualification in a Diploma in Hospitality Management Level 5 or above.

This role is full-time (32 hours) with a rate of pay of $28.18 to $31 depending on experience.
