Your Role
As a Systems Administrator, you are a vital member of the maintenance support team for the MQ-4C Maintenance Organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Integrated Planning and Scheduling team who support a range of complex campaigns, projects and programs based across our national business. Depending on your chosen trade, typically your role will include:
Avionics Apprentice - maintains, inspects, and undertakes fault diagnostics of electrical, instrument, and radio systems and accessories on the aircraft. These include power generation and distribution systems, ignition and engine monitoring systems, autopilot and integrated flight systems, environmental control systems, radar and communication systems, and in-flight entertainment.
Mechanical Apprentice - maintains, inspects, and undertakes fault diagnosis of airframe, engine systems, and mechanical components and accessories on aircraft. These include undercarriage, wheels and brakes, pressurisation, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, flight control systems, engine control systems, and pressurisation and environmental control systems.
Structures Apprentice – maintains, inspects, and undertakes modification & repair to aircraft metallic structures and will typically work with aircraft composite structures such as: Fiberglass, Carbon fiber (Graphite), Kevlar, Bonded metallic and fiber structures.
You’ll have:
A demonstrated mechanical aptitude with an eagerness to learn a hands-on trade
A high level of motivation and passion to want to be part of the aviation sector
Exceptional teamwork
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Good hand skills with the ability to use a variety of tooling
Australian Citizenship or hold Australian Permanent Residency Status
Ability to work all shift patterns
Must be available to start work from early 2025
