Your Role:
As an Assistant Manager, you will:
- Collaborate with your manager to ensure timely completion of financial outsourcing for a diverse portfolio of clients, covering monthly, quarterly, and year-end deliverables such as VAT returns, Net Asset Valuation of Investment Funds, Management accounts, and Statutory accounts.
- Regularly liaise with clients, presenting financial information directly.
- Develop leadership skills by managing a team, setting goals, and providing ongoing training through mentoring and our tailored leadership program.
- Undertake ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
Your Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A newly qualified accountant status with ideally 3 years' experience in a similar-sized firm.
- Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals, including statutory accounts under FRS 102 and IFRS, consolidations, inter-company transactions, and impairments.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Experience with Xero and CCH (preferred but not required).
- Excellent planning, organising, and decision-making skills, along with a willingness to assist others.

My client offers a competitive starting salary and a generous benefits package, including:
- Flexible working arrangements: 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home after 3 months of satisfactory performance.
- Flexible start times between 8am and 10am, with a 7.5-hour working day.
- 25 days of holiday, increasing by one day per year of service up to a maximum of 30 days, with the option to purchase or sell up to 5 additional days.
