Optimizing Your Ad Spend: Determining the Best CPC for Job Postings
Alistair Neal of RedDot Media gets together with Brad Boggs and Steven Rothberg of College Recruiter to talk about programmatic job advertising as well as the closely related cost-per-click (CPC) and cost-per-application (CPA) pricing models.
Both RedDot Media and College Recruiter help employers determine how best to market their job ads, including appropriate budgets and CPCs. RedDot’s employer clients are not yet buying on a CPA basis, but many are paying close attention to what they’re effectively paying per application (eCPAs). A small but rapidly growing minority of College Recruiter’s customers are buying on an eCPA basis, but most are still far more comfortable buying on a CPC basis.
What CPC to pay varies considerably depending on a wide variety of factors including the role itself, geographic location, number of hires in what period of time, strength of the employer’s brand, and more.
