How much does it cost to use Handshake?
Handshake is a career service office management platform that provides job search, video interviewing, and other such services to many of the four-year colleges and universities in the United States. It has a relatively small presence with trade and vocational schools, community and other two-year colleges, and outside of the United States.
Employers can manually post jobs for free, but this product is only well suited for those with very limited hiring needs such as a retail shop that wants to hire one or two people. The vast majority of employers wanting to hire students are going to need to buy what Handshake calls a Premium package.
Employers advertise their part-time, seasonal, internship, apprenticeship, and other early career job opportunities requiring 0-5 years of experience on College Recruiter. The cost to advertise an unlimited number of jobs on College Recruiter typically starts at $5,000. We make it really easy to get started and even easier to stop using us…because we’re confident that we’re going to deliver to you the candidates you need to hire, both in terms of quantity and quality. Our agreements are typically month-to-month and you can cancel with only five business days’ notice. In addition, almost all of our customers are on performance-based agreements, meaning that we only get paid if we deliver results. Instead of paying Handshake $250,000 a year whether or not they deliver the right quantity and quality of candidates, customers of College Recruiter pay $X for every Y candidates that we deliver to their ATS, or $X for every Z candidates who apply to your jobs.
