Career Advice for Job Seekers

Top 20 European cities for diverse students, grads searching for jobs

April 28, 2023

For diverse students and recent graduates, finding the perfect job in an inclusive and welcoming environment can be challenging. It’s essential to consider not only the job market but also the culture and opportunities available in a city before deciding where to begin your career.

Less than a year ago, College Recruiter had virtually no presence outside of North America. That changed early last summer as we were getting more and more requests from our employer customers to help them hire not just students and recent graduates in the United States and Canada but also in the United Kingdom, European Union, and other areas of the world. Our business continues to grow in North America, but it is growing even faster in the UK and EU. And the rapidly increasing number of candidates in those markets gets us thinking more about the challenges that a candidate in France, for example, might face that is different from what a somewhat similar candidate might face in, for example, Florida.

An issue that faces candidates in all markets is where to live. There are many factors involved in a decision like that, and some of those factors will differ for candidates who are diverse as they’re BIPOC, LGBTQ+, first generation, Black, Latino, economically disadvantaged, or women. This article is designed to help those diverse students who are considering where to live in Europe by listing the top 20 cities to find employment.
