On the other hand, one of the biggest drawbacks happens to be the lack of benefits that a full-time employee is entitled to such as medical insurance, sick leaves, travel allowances and other forms of allowances.

Benefits and Drawbacks –  the Employer Front

One of the biggest benefits of an employer is the low-employment cost since they do not have to provide the statutory benefits as that of a full-time worker. They can ask part-time workers to serve for more hours when business is high and cut down on the working hours when business is slow.

However, employers also put up with certain vagaries of part-time employment such as higher administrative cost. Most of the time they have to settle for workers who do not have prior experience and thus compromise a little on employers’ competency levels.
