Position Highlights

Job Summary

Performs routine and complex echocardiograms, vascular diagnostic testing, stress tests and EKGs in-house and on Mobile Outreach.

Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate of an A.M.A. approved school in a related health field (i.e., Cardiovascular Technology) preferred. 
  • Two - three years of previous ultrasound experience preferred. 
  • Required to have a working knowledge of cardiac and vascular pathology.

 Certification/Licensure/Registrations

  • ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) registered in either Echocardiograms (RDCS) (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer)/ or Vascular Technology (RVT) (Registered Vascular Technologist) required.  New graduates must have initial registry within 12 months of hire.
  • Second, ARDMS registered within 18 months of hire is required.
  • Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.

 Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, days, call every 8th weekend, one holiday per year
  •  72hrs/2wks
  • 8-hour shifts

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. The actual hourly rate is dependent upon experience. 

  • $30.25 - $45.75 per hour
