Job Description
As a Server with Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. What you will be doing:
Reporting to the F&B Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

1. Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
2. Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
3. Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
4. Project a pleasant and positive professional image to guests at all times
5. Sell and up-sell menu and beverage items in a positive, professional manner
6. Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
7. Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
8. Deliver and present food items to guest tables
9. Process guest checks in a timely and efficient manner
10. Bus and re-set tables
11. Perform opening, cleaning and closing duties
12. Report any irregularities or comments from guests to supervisors and leadership
13. Take initiative to rectify guest recoveries as per brand standards
14. Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
15. Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
16. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:

1. 6 months a-la-carte serving experience required in the last 5 years
2. Successful completion of Food and Beverage test required 80% or above.
3. Pro Serve certification required
4. Previous point of sale system experience an asset
5. Excellent communication and organizational skills
6. Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
7. Highly responsible & reliable
8. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
9. Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
10. Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Bending/Reaching - 4-6 hr/day
Pushing/pulling - 4-6 hr/day
Physical Effort - required to lift up to 50 lbs
