Summary of Position
This role is responsible for developing and executing top-tier social media strategies tailored to the anime gaming community. You will lead efforts to boost brand awareness, drive user engagement, and foster organic growth through platforms like Instagram, X, TikTok, and YouTube. The individual will work closely with HQ and internal teams to align social media efforts with broader marketing goals. They will review performance across all social channels and KPIs, continuously optimizing social media plans.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in social media strategy within the gaming industry, hands-on experience in creating engaging content, and managing social media accounts. Proficiency in analyzing social media performance and making data-driven decisions is essential. This creative thinker must have excellent communication and collaboration skills and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and lives and breathes social media trends.
We are currently working in the office 2-3x a week in a hybrid work model.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies tailored to the gaming community across social platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and management of special events
- Curate and manage diverse content (graphics, videos, copy) aligned with marketing strategy and brand voice within the gaming niche
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure social media efforts support overall marketing and business objectives while keeping up to date on relevant trends, and best practices
- Conduct social media account audits, provide research, analysis, and improvement recommendations around the target audience, and implement necessary content changes
- Actively engage with the community. Ensuring alignment with the game's tone, managing influencer collaborations and creator partnerships to implement best practices within social media strategy
- Track social media performance using analytics tools, generating reports, use insights to optimize campaigns, and make improvement recommendations
Work Experience
- 3-5+ years in a social media strategy role or similar, preferably in gaming or anime culture
- Previous experience in the gaming industry is highly preferred
- Proven track record of leading successful social media campaigns
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Knowledge/Skills
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging trends
- Strong and deep knowledge of Japanese Anime/Manga and its culture is required
- Strong analytical skills and experience using social media analytics tools like Sprout Social or Hootsuite
- Creative mindset with the ability to craft engaging, on-brand content tailored to a niche anime gaming community
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working with internal teams and external agencies
- Strong planning and project management skills
- Experience in managing influencer and content creator partnerships
- Proficient in content creation tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Suite
- Must be passionate about gaming and anime, with a deep understanding of both the anime industry and community
- Hands-on experience with social media operations and content posting

Compensation Description for Pay Transparency (annually)
The base salary range for this position in El Segundo, CA is $78,000 - $90,000 annually.
Our salary ranges are determined by market data based on position and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum salaries for that position. An individual's pay is determined by factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's qualifications, skills, experiences, relevant education or training, and location.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, however the salary range listed in this job posting reflects the base salary only.
