Summary

Provides support for implementation of activities in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)/PT Fund department. Assists department colleagues with carrying out efforts to meet objectives on organizational priorities with a focus on departmental contributions to enterprise DEI strategy for the Association.  Supports operational needs for appointed and member volunteer groups and APTA leadership. Provides support with data entry as appropriate including compliance documents. Seeks out and supports opportunities for continuous quality improvement in department activities. Effective champion of the Association vision, mission, and brand.

Essential Functions

  • Serves as lead DEI staff for general support for the implementation of work plans related to respective activities of the DEI/PT Fund department which align with organizational priorities and the Association’s operations strategy, systems and data strategy, membership strategy, public engagement strategy, and business strategy.
  • Prepares required departmental compliance forms as outlined below including, when applicable and appropriate, entering accurate information for timely submission of all required forms
  • Provides support of the department operations, including opportunities to advance and gain efficiencies.
  • Supports the Business Affairs team in the implementation of the Association’s programs, priorities, and projects DEI/PT Fund in partnership with department director and staff colleagues.
  • Prepares, in consultation with the Vice President, department level data which supports and aligns with the APTA data strategy.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree a plus
  • 2+ years of administrative experience, performing tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Solid administrative skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Project management skills a plus
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Must be highly organized; strong organizational skills – must be able to meet deadlines and respond to changing priorities
  • Presentation skills a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through completion

Travel Requirements

Up to 10% - local, National
