The Opportunity

As the Organisational Development Officer for East Gippsland Shire Council, you’ll take the lead on a broad range of Organisational Development initiatives such as driving engagement through strategic employee survey design and action planning, advancing DE&I initiatives, leading succession planning, embedding our capability framework and more.

Who are you? You’re a natural collaborator, an excellent communicator and are comfortable working with a range of stakeholders. You’re passionate about creating a thriving and happy workplace through the design and implementation of innovative OD initiatives across the entire employee experience.

You’ll be involved in:

  • Leading Organisational Development initiatives employee engagement survey design, delivery and action planning
  • Leading and supporting the development and execution of initiatives under Council’s Workforce Plan and Gender Equality Action Plan
  • Project leading the implementation of the newly developed Capability Framework, Succession Planning Strategy and other key plans.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity and can be based from Bairnsdale, Kalimna West or Lakes Entrance.

Things You’re Proud Of (Key Selection Criteria)

  • Significant experience in Human Resources or Organisational Development with involvement in organisational improvement programs such as succession planning, engagement surveys, diversity and inclusion and implementation of a capability framework.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify customer needs and assess both current and future operating and organisational process requirements.
  • Experience leading organisational development projects.
  • Experience developing and delivering action plans to improve organisational engagement.
  • Excellent communication and administration skills and demonstrated high level verbal, written and report writing skills.
  • Experience in facilitating meetings/workshops.

If successful, you will need to undertake a police check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
